Cubs best Brewers in exhibition finale

Starlin Castro and Alfredo Amezaga homered Tuesday as the Chicago Cubs closed out their spring-training schedule with a 5-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers in Mesa, Ariz.

Early Spring ERAs Not Something Cub Fans Should…

Although the Chicago Cubs have hit, run, and fielded very well so far in Spring Training, the pitching has not looked anywhere near as good. After 14 Spring Training games, the Cubs are 28th in the Majors in team ERA (5.88). This is only Spring Training, but it is not a trend that we Cub fans hope to see continue in April.

Cubs' Offense Scoring Runs Early in Spring:…

Through the first five games of the 2011 Spring Training schedule, the Chicago Cubs have had an explosive offense. They scored 37 total runs in five games against the Cactus League, and they look better so far than many fans (myself included) and experts have predicted.
